- At the end of the 1990’s ntl: acquired the consumer cable and UK telephony assets of CWC to create a company that passed 50% of UK homes. ntl: rebranded to Virgin Media in 2006
- A couple of our associates were engaged to establish the post merger integration programme to drive significant synergies out of the extensive national fibre assets, the local cable and telecom franchise operations and the internal systems supporting the resulting 20,000 employee business
- With a focus on rapid consolidation we delivered a programme with ntl: that addressed separation and subsequent integration of IT, network assets, call centres and network operations facilities
- The major elements of integration were completed by the end of 2000 while the longer term technical media evolution was significantly simplified and de-risked.
