Global PMI Partners advises Sinch in the Acquisition Integration of SAP Digital Interconnect

March 2021 | Press Release

Global PMI Partners, an international consultancy specializing in M&A, acquisition integration and carve-outs, advises Sinch (publ), a leading cloud communications platform company, in the carve-out and integration of SAP Digital Interconnect.

Stockholm, Sweden, March 30, 2021 (Cision.com) – On May 7th, 2020 Sinch acquired SAP Digital Interconnect (SDI) from SAP. Global PMI Partners advised Sinch during the carve-out, led the Carve-out Management Office, and provided an executive to act as interim VP Integration supporting comprehensive carve-out and integration activity across the combined company’s global footprint.

Sinch engaged Global PMI Partners in [May 2020] after signing a definitive agreement to purchase SAP Digital Interconnect. Recognizing the complexity inherent in carve-out and acquisition integration of this scope, Sinch was looking for a carve-out/acquisition integration consultancy to advise the integration and also provide an interim vice president of Integration. The end result was an on-time delivery of a complex project with limited time and resources.

“Michael and team truly showed that they had done this before are able to come in with a great set of experience and toolboxes to deliver,” said Sinch CEO Oscar Werner. “We achieved a Day One cutover with a small TSA portfolio without any impact on business continuity or any issues.”

Global PMI Partners leveraged its battle-proven IMO and Carve-Out Mobilization playbooks. Senior and experienced consultants worked as an extension of the Sinch team, providing comprehensive advice and hands-on support.

“Michael and team were a great cultural fit and managed the internal team, external consultants, and a challenging seller in a very professional way throughout the engagement,” Werner said.Management consultants from Global PMI Partners included Michael Holm, Anand Puthuri, Julian McCarthy, Mikael Kruhsberg and Stefan Hofmeyer.
